The challenge
Triathlon kit is often designed for the podium, not for the woman lining up at her first race. HUUB wanted a women-specific range that would work for beginners and experienced athletes alike, across the swim, bike and run.
What we did
Mel led the product and brand development, co-creating the range with the Her Spirit community. Real women's experience shaped every decision: strip out unnecessary complexity, put comfort first, and design kit that builds confidence.
The outcome
The HUUB Her Spirit range: long-course trisuits alongside complementary cycle, training and multi-sport apparel, sold by HUUB Design as a dedicated women's collection.
The HUUB Design Her Spirit range is a co-created collection of women-specific triathlon and training apparel, designed in partnership with the Her Spirit community to support women of all fitness levels and abilities.
Built with the community
Mel led the product and brand development from the start, bringing the Her Spirit community into the process. The philosophy was simple: remove unnecessary complexity, prioritise comfort, and inspire confidence, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced athlete, across the swim, the bike and the run.
The kit
The range centres on long-course trisuits, alongside complementary cycle, training and multi-sport apparel. The Her Spirit trisuit brings together:
- A long-sleeve design for subtle aerodynamic benefits on the bike and more UV protection for shoulders and upper arms on long outdoor sessions.
- Lightweight, rapid-drying Italian fabrics that shed water quickly after the swim to prevent chill.
- A women’s-specific 3D pad, supportive in the saddle without adding bulk on the run.
- Practical details: a breathable mesh centre-back panel, soft low-tension leg grippers and rear pockets for race nutrition.
One look, swim to finish line
The bold pink, navy and orange Her Spirit design runs across the whole range, so a trisuit, a cycle jersey and training kit all read as one brand, and the women wearing them look like a team.
